I wanted to share a link to our expedition in case anyone wishes to follow our trek into the Karakoram. We will likely have little to no communication once past Skardu.
cool. i'll set the DVR.
If anyone is near a television tomorrow, Wednesday 3/05/14 at 4 pm there will be a feature on the Pakistan Trip on WBIR's Live at Five at Four.
Pretty decent review by a mountaineering author and friend.
Great news about Brian...! Can't wait to read your book, John!
I've got a print version of the book available now if anyone is interested. It may be found here:
Thank you so much. I wish you would have let me give you a copy, though!
Brian is doing GREAT! He is walking on a cane and anticipating a full recovery and return to work within a month or two.
John, just finished your e-book. It was beautifully written. I became so caught up in your descriptions that I felt at times I were right there with you. I was brought to tears reading about the loss of your Iranian teammates. I will continue to pray for you and Brian as I know the sadness of this experience will remain with you for quite some time.
Well now you have done it, you are published! Congratulations! Great news that Brian is recovering well. I know too well that we all take hiking/climbing/backpacking for granted.
Just wanted to let folks know that Brian is recovering well and is now walking with a cane and our ebook account of the trip is now available if anyone is interested. It may be found at this link. I'm proud to have been asked by the families of our fallen team mates to donate %100 of the Iranian (Farsi) translation towards the building of a climbing school in honor of their brave relatives. The book is found at this link and is available in multiple reading formats for your convenience. Brian and I have appreciated the support of everyone here. As a way of expressing my appreciation I am happy to provide a complimentary copy coupon to anyone who is interested on this forum . Just email me through this site. Thanks John
